At Swayambhunath, a religious area just outside of the Thamel neighborhood of Kathmandu, a large amount of monkeys live – climbing the trees and temples, and relaxing on the steps. They are not nearly as aggressive as the ones that I encountered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
